BR 1-10: The Baobab Tree (Louie Stowell, 2009)

"The Baobab tree talked a lot"

This story is about a talking tree and some angry African gods.

Once upon a time, the gods made the world. One day, they made a talking tree, and they called it the Baobab tree. The Baobab tree talked a lot

The god grew a forest of tall trees and made trees with flowers. The Baobab tree was fed up more and more. The gods got cross. They said, "Stop moaning!" It said, "You can't make me!"

Then The gods made trees that grew fruit. The Baobab tree said, "I want fruit!" The gods were angry because the Baobab was so noisy, so they turned it upside down. His head was i the ground. He never talk.

I thought the Baobab tree was so miserable, but it was very selfish.
