BR 1-02: Fluffy's Valentine's Day (Kate McMullan, 1998)

"who needs it?"

It's Valentine's Day! In Ms. Day's class, the children decorated Valentine boxes. They enjoyed and absorb it. However, nobody decorated pictures with Fluffy, so Fluffy got sulky. He felt "Valentine's Day, who needs it?" Then, the children of Ms. Day's class gave decorated box only for Fluffy. He was so happy!

The other day, Fluffy had to have a bath because he should prepare for the party. First, he disliked and resisted it. However, he enjoyed the bath in the end. Finally, in Valentine's Day Party, he experiented various things, for example, kiss! Fluffy had a good Valentine's Day.

I thought everyone loved Fluffy. He was so cute. Valentine is important event for other animals not only people.

My hobbies

Today, I’m going to talk about my hobbies.

I have three hobbies. First, I like drawing pictures. When I was a high school student, I was in the art club. I'm good at drawing person, animal, and some plants.

I have been good at drawing since younger. My mother said me, “You always drew pictures. I knew your mind from pictures.” I was surprised by her saying. I was very glad because I knew first time what my parents saw me. However, I didn’t remember it. Now, I like drawing too!

Second, I like to engrave. When I was a junior high school student, I engraved a picture from foot block. Then, I was praised from art teacher and commended. I made cat, dog, caw, and a lot of animals. I was good at carving a wood print. My product which I carve my father working got gold prize at contest competition in Kumamoto city. I was very happy! I like to engrave, so I’m going to keep carving in the future.

              

The last, I like cooking! I’m good at it. I always help my mother cooking. Also, I cook for my boyfriend. I improve my cooking skill then. My favorite dish is tohu hamburger. This dish’s point is to mix with mayonnaise. By this point, tohu hamburger can be more delicious!  Also, radish salad is my favorite dish too. This dish is mixed radish and mayonnaise and canned tuna. This dish’s point is to rub sliced radishes with salt. By this point, radish salad is more tasty and spicy. In the future, I want to be a good wife and mother, so I want to make progress more over!

Music I love

Today, I’m going to talk my favorite singer. My Most favorite singer is Eric Clapton. I knew him when I was 9 years old. My father was listened to me. My father likes him too. When I listen to his song first time, I entered hospital because I had to have an operation of the throat. I was very boring then, so my father gave me Clapton's song. First time listening, I listened to "Change the World". I was attracted this song only once listening.

After that, I came to listen to a lot of Clapton’s songs. For example, when I want to be more high tension, I always listen to “Layla.” When I study hard before examination, I often listen to “Bell Bottom Blue.” For the reason, I can concentrate on study by listening to this song. Also, I want to listen to “Tears in Heaven”, when I had a terrible quarrel with my father. I think I‘m going to forgive him by the song. In this way, Clapton’s songs involve me not only good feelings but also bad feelings.

Also, I was interested in English by his songs. I tried to understand lyrics and sing his songs. Therefore, I became to study English. His song’s words are easy to understand, and a lot of songs are grammatical, so I can study English easier.

I love Eric Clapton in all means. He makes me happy. Also, he gave me an opportunity having interest for English. I thanks to him.

My best song is “Change the World.” In this song, there is my best lyrics.

BR 1-01: Sleeping Beauty (Kate Knighton, 2006)

"Taking her hand, he kissed her soft lips."

This story is very popular in the world as you know Disney film.

Many years ago, a king and queen lived in a magical castle. They couldn’t have a child. One day, the queen was gave words, “You are going to have a baby this year.” by a bright green frog. True to the frog’s words, the queen gave birth – to a lovely baby girl. That’s where the story begins.

On the day of the feast, crowds came to cheer and watch the guests arrive.

A lot of person was very happy. Then, seven fairies flew in through a castle window. The fairies said, “We have some wishes for Princess Rose”, and they gave Princess Rose seven wishes.

However, the uninvited guest came in. She was Nightshade. She was very angry, so she said, “On Princess’s sixteenth birthday, you will pick your finger on a spinning wheel and DIE!” But, a fairy said, “You and everyone else in the castle will fall in a deep sleep when you prick your finger. Therefore, Only a kiss from your true love will break the spell.”

Princess’s sixteenth birthday was coming. Princess Rose became a very beautiful girl. When the feasting was nearly over, Rose pleaded for a game. “Hide – and – seek!” She followed soft singing. At last, she found the heavy iron door. She met an old woman inside door, and she pricked her finger as the old woman said. The old woman was Nightshade! Rose snapped out of the trance. Then, Rose, the king and queen, and everyone froze and sleep. All the clocks stopped.

For one hundred years the castle stayed hidden. A lot of Princes try to rescue the Princess Rose and the kingdom, but they gave up by the thorns and the roots like snakes. However, a brave Prince named Florien came the castle. He pulled out them, and he broke the spell. He found Princess Rose, and taking her hand, he kissed her soft lips. Her eyes flickered open. “You’re the prince I drew!” she cried. Everyone else in the castle woke up too. Rose and Florien were married the very next day. They lived happily ever after.

I thought love is so important for people. I was glad to be happy of Sleeping Beauty.
